Sanctuary Astrology Creative Direction
Sanctuary is a live messaging astrology, advice, and guidance app with a 200+ advisor network and marketplace. Under my creative direction, it grew to 1.5M+ organic Instagram followers (4,000% YOY growth), earned Apple’s ‘App of the Day’ 4x, and was featured in The New York Times, Vogue, The Wall Street Journal, and more as a standout success in the $2B mystical services market.
To position Sanctuary as a category disruptor, I crafted a bold, playful brand identity inspired by 60s pulp books and space race aesthetics. I delivered a cohesive design system of timeless logos, vibrant colors, bold typography, and engaging illustrations to demystify astrology for mainstream audiences and elevate the app’s user experience.
This consistent, multi-platform approach solidified brand legitimacy, drove cultural relevance with partnerships like Urban Outfitters, Soho House, and Bumble, and increased conversions from free horoscopes to paid live readings with astrologers, tarot readers, and mystics.
